01
The challenge
Farol Baixo has 27 people across four mall stores, each with its own hours. Meal and transportation vouchers were calculated in a spreadsheet at the end of the month.
Every month there was some wrong deduction: vacations that didn't take days off the voucher, hires that came in with the full month, transportation deductions above the limit.
Marcos wanted to offer a dental plan, but didn't know how much it would really cost.
02
How the rollout went
- Week 1
A benefits policy by store and role, with meal voucher amounts and each person's transit routes.
- Week 2
The first monthly order generated by Vela, already deducting vacations and hires by business days.
- Week 3
A dental plan simulation with each store's estimated enrollment.

What I like most is seeing the cost of each benefit before deciding. I simulated the dental plan in an afternoon, saw it fit and announced it to the team the next month.
