About payroll
Does Vela replace the accounting firm?
No. Vela organizes the HR routine and delivers checked data; the firm keeps handling the tax obligations you agreed with them.
Can a closed payroll be reopened?
Yes, with admin permission. The reopening is logged in the history with a reason and an owner.
How does Vela handle mid-month hires?
It calculates the salary prorated to the days worked and flags the person in the check for someone to confirm.
