Agents + ComfyUI: a creative production line
How much of content and media creative production can be handed to AI agents without losing quality?
Challenge
Go from the brief, which can be just a website URL, to the final reviewed asset, in every format for each channel.
What I did
- Three agents with their own roles and checks: Social Media researches the website, blog and social profiles and builds the schedule in the brand's voice; Designer defines the idea, format and image request; Reviewer checks language, faithfulness to the sources and visual quality, and sends back whatever doesn't pass
- Images in a ComfyUI workflow with open source models licensed for commercial use (FLUX.2 and Z-Image) on a local GPU; each image is inspected and redone if it has deformations, inconsistencies or third-party brands
- Variations come out of one master asset: Instagram (feed, stories, carousel), LinkedIn (with a PDF carousel), Meta Ads (4:5, 1:1, 9:16) and Google Display and Performance Max in the official sizes and limits; it also generates short videos scene by scene
- Automatic review of contrast, safe area, % of text and logo. Architecture and direction by me, through Claude Code; much of the code written by the agents under my guidance
Result
- 16 minto produce 27 reviewed assets in a test schedule
- ~3 daysof a designer's time freed up per schedule, for strategy and campaigns (estimate)
- ~R$ 800of time saved per schedule; ~R$9.7K per year with one per month (estimate)
Estimated cost reduction
One schedule of 27 assets, without and with the agents
| Step | Without the agent | With the agent |
|---|---|---|
| Producing the 27 assets | 3 days of a designer (24 h) | 16 min |
| Scheduling the posts | ~4,5 h (27 × 10 min) | 1 to 2 min |
| Cost of time (designer at R$5K/month) | ~R$ 810 | ~R$ 10 |
| Time given back to the team | ~28 h per schedule | |
| In one year (1 schedule per month) | ~342 h · ~R$9.7K | ~3.5 h |
Assumptions
- A rough calculation, as requested: designer at R$5,000/month, 22 days of 8 h, about R$28 per hour
- Without the agents, the 27 assets take 3 days of production; with them, 16 minutes measured in a test schedule
- Scheduling a post by hand takes 5 to 15 min according to published accounts and tests (there's no formal study); I used 10 min. With the publishing agent, in development, the whole batch takes 1 to 2 min
- Human review at the end remains; the gain is the production time that goes back to strategy, tests and campaigns
The agent running
From the website URL to the reviewed assets, step by step.
🔗 00:00
- Social MediaReads the brand's website, blog and social profiles
- Social MediaWrites the schedule and captions in the brand's voice
- ReviewerFixes copy, tone, hashtags and each network's limits
- DesignerDefines the idea and format of each asset
- ComfyUIGenerates the images on the computer
- ReviewerInspects the artwork and sends back what doesn't pass
Simulation with the real assets from the test (fictitious brand, AI-generated images). In the test, it took about 16 minutes for 27 assets; here the time is sped up.
